Girls Soccer’s Best Season in Vistamar History Carol Romano, March 28, 2025 The Vistamar Girls soccer team just wrapped up an unforgettable season, making it to round 3 of CIF playoffs, the furthest the team has ever gone! This incredible achievement wasn’t possible without the leadership of their new coaching duo, Coach Shane and Coach Kaydence, who brought energy, strategies, and a winning mentality to the team. The girls’ soccer team exemplified skill, determination, and teamwork in every match. From edge-of-the-seat moments to that last whistle, each game brought a sense of excitement and unity within the Vistamar community. Reaching round 3 in CIF was a huge milestone, setting the stage for even greater success in the future. While this season has been filled with victories, it also marked the end of an era as we say goodbye to our seniors: -Marlee (Midfielder) – known for her powerful long shot and leadership skills, Marlee had a knack for changing the course of the game. -Chidi (Striker) – some might call her: Speedy Gonzalez, with Chidi’s quick footwork she ended with her best season yet, proving her impact up front. -Esha (Midfielder) – Originally a defender, Esha stepped up into midfield this season. Esha’s ability to adapt to this new position made a huge impact on our team’s success. -Josie (Defender) – The backbone of our defense, Joise provided a sense of calm and security. As one of the team’s goalies, I can confidently say it was always a relief knowing she had my back. These seniors have set an incredible example for the younger players and will be deeply missed. Looking ahead with a memorable season behind us, the future is bright for the Vistamar Girls’ Soccer team. The returning players are motivated and ready to build on this year’s success. Congratulations to the entire team for an amazing season, and best of luck to our graduating seniors as they embark on their new adventures. School News Sports
