All You Need to Know About Clue Vistamar’s Fall Play!

Vistamar theatre is back with its fall play Clue!! Rehearsals are underway, and the play is starting to come together for its four shows November 13th through the 15th! As stage manager, I have had the pleasure of watching the process and through the Vistamar View, I was able to interview some of the cast to share a bit about the process. Please come out to support this amazing cast and the creative tech and design crew on the show dates!

Asha (Professor Plum):

  1. What is your favorite part about rehearsals for Clue?

Bonding with my castmates because it’s nice getting to know everyone and to connect with people in theatre.

  1. Why do you think people should watch Clue?

Three reasons. 1 – Because clue is a fun board game even though I have never played it :). It brings the family together. 2- The cast is very funny so it is a very fun show to watch. 3- It’s better than watching TV.

  1. Tell us a bit about your character in Clue and how is it playing your character?

Plum is a very over the top narcissist. Playing the character feels like being a version of me but more narcissistic and more over the top, and a man.

Gray (Colonel Mustard):

  1. What is your favorite part about rehearsals for Clue?

All of the yelling and the general goofiness.

  1. Why do you think people should watch Clue?

Because I’m in it and it’s really funny!

  1. Tell us a bit about your character in Clue and how is it playing your character?

Coronal Mustard is a very stupid man who is very fun to play. I have a lot of fun playing him and creating his character in our version of Clue.

Bridget (Wadsworth):

  1. What is your favorite part about rehearsals for Clue?

All of the inside jokes.

  1. Why do you think people should watch Clue?

Because the cast is GOATed and the show itself is really really funny.

  1. Tell us a bit about your character in Clue and how is it playing your character?

It is really fun to play my character, I’m Wadsworth the British butler. It’s really fun to be just kind of a proper person who is all business. 

Cherry (Understudy: Yvette):

  1. What is your favorite part about rehearsals for Clue?

Trying to figure out all the blocking and mini edits we make during the runthroughs. It’s really fun to see that part of the show and it makes the day so much better.

  1. Why do you think people should watch Clue?

It’s lowkey just so funny. And we put a lot of effort into it so people should come watch!

  1. Tell us a bit about your character in Clue and how is it playing your character?

I am understudying Yvette. She is the world’s sexiest French maid and she is a baddie. I love her.
